International Feel House Bags

After many releases of having individual artwork for every single release, I’ve taken the decision to switch over to International Feel House Bags for all future single releases.

When International Feel started very few labels went to the lengths we did to create great cover art on every single release and this (of course) increased costs (and so sometimes stopped me signing certain more ‘out there’ material because of break even points) and also sometimes delayed releases, because great art takes time.

Over the past 12 months I’ve noticed that ‘full colour art’ is now far more prevalent than it was 5 years ago and the contrarian in me immediately then says…’Change Direction’ and changing over to house bags also has the benefit of allowing us release more music, more quickly and it comes at a time as well, where I see the label transitioning from a ‘professional hobby label’ into a more professional outfit that really focuses on artist development and more on artist albums, as witnessed by my own album, the forthcoming Jose Padilla Album and some exciting new signing’s I’ll be shouting about soon.

In the meantime, I’ve worked with Nick Jones on these new House Bags and I’m super happy with the result – Nick has really captured the essence of International Feel in his design and they are a lovely (and weighty !) 380 gram paper (spineless Disco Bag with no paper inner) with 180 gram vinyl.

The first release to feature the new house bags will be Jose Padilla’s ‘Solito’ single on the 7th July.
